Found on beach in Cornwall UK. Pretty hefty, way heavier than it first looked and extremely solid. Front has some kind of ring opening, but no obvious outlet. Been battered by the sea to reveal electronics inside. Bottom has the remains on a cable connection.

Soft and sticky / gooey

What is this from? I don't think this is blood.

I found it about four days ago in my storage area, I don't know how long it's been there.

My last photo shows the white cable with some brown mark from the dried liquid. My neighbour's front deck is right on top of my storage area.
