So i was working on my website and deleted a random port that wasnt in use, instantly all my websites weren't being displayed on the domains anymore?
i restored another random port (not the same as the one i deleted) and my websites came back im just wondering. How does this even make sense? that shouldnt work right?

because if you use AI to edit your homepage, site.eu will ban your IP and you absolutely can't use your hosting you paid for.

I'm looking for recommendations for a reliable VPS or affordable dedicated server hosted in the EU.

Requirements:

• Budget: €30–60/month (flexible)
• CPU: 4–8 vCPU
• RAM: 16–32 GB
• Storage: 500 GB–1 TB NVMe SSD
• Location: EU data center
• Hosting: Unmanaged

Workload: Laravel/PHP application with MySQL 8, a large database (200–300 GB), regular XML imports, and indexed searches. Good disk I/O performance is important.

Experience: 10+ years with PHP/Laravel and Linux server administration.

I've been considering Hetzner, OVHcloud, and Netcup, but I'm interested in other providers too.

Would you recommend a VPS or a budget dedicated server for this workload? Any suggestions based on personal experience?

I’m building a managed WordPress hosting platform and I’m looking for beta testers (completely free hosting for testers during this testing).

The idea is to take the parts people like best from the big hosts and put them in one place:

• A clean dashboard in the style of Kinsta.
• Git with immutable live code, like Pantheon. You push code to staging and promote it to live.
• Fast page loads, like Rocket. The goal is a low time to first byte, with caching at the edge and servers on up to date Google Cloud machines (not Oracle like Kinsta).
• DDEV support is included, so you can pull a site down to work locally and deploy from your machine or use ssh or sftp.
• CDNs, Object caching, backups and more are included.
• Patchstack at server level
• Google Analytics, Search console and Clickhouse Analytics built in along with exportable reporting
• Accessibility report with recommendations on fixing to abide by WCAG compliance testing
• Cloudflare enterprise coming soon but currently supports most of cloudflare business level features.
• 20+ datacenters

What I’m asking for

• Run a small site on it for about a month. It’s free.
• Try to break it on purpose. Odd plugins, big imports, bad deploys, restores, anything you’d normally avoid doing on a real host. Pen test it even if you want.
• Tell me what’s confusing, slow, or broken. Your feedback shapes what gets built next.
