What happens to your selfhosted data when you're gone?

I'm thinking about death, sometimes a lot. From different angles, and since I'm a selfhoster (read: tech savvy guy) and my direct family aren't really, I have a question but no answer yet, so I'd like to ask you guys here.

My server holds more than my stuff. It has 10+ years of family photos in Immich, our location history and trips and scanned documents. If I got hit by a bus tomorrow, my family would get a box humming in the corner of our living room. They'd have no idea how to log in, what's on it, or when the domain expires or whatnot.

With Google or iCloud there's at least an inactive account / legacy contact process, but I have pretty much successfully degoogled, and have no plan B in case anything happens to me.

So:

- Do you have any plan for this? A printed "if I'm gone" doc, shared credentials, Vaultwarden emergency access, something else?

- Would your family actually be able to get the photos out, or would they need a nerd friend?

- If you've thought about it and decided not to bother, why?

Sorry for hard questions this fine Friday.
