Installed it on a new PC and was met with this screen.

Upon some investigation figured out that they now basically push users into purchasing a paid driver to use gamepads (do you really believe they will continue to support free fallback forever?) and suggest purchasing it for keyboard and mouse too, which suggests that eventually free mouse/keyboard support will also be dropped/degraded to less useable state.
Issues are already being marked as resolved by redirecting "fixes" into paid version (example) even though FREE fix for it is possible and already exists in other fork. Expecting that eventually any issues will be redirected there while free version will keep getting shittier and shittier.
Upon further investigation, of course, I figured out that they employ typical predatory model "buying isn't owning". Even though you can "buy" "lifetime" license, it will phone home literally every day and heavily restrict it's capabilities if it can not. This is worse than Denuvo that has 30 days grace period. No free trial, no free non-commercial license for personal use, nothing.
And besides, it's presented as an issue that requires to be fixed. Non tech-savvy user will see these warnings, will interpret them as issues and will be led into paying without being presented with free option.
Upon even further investigation I found out that AI was heavily used during creation of that driver. So basically if you pay believing that you're supporting them you in fact will just support AI and all the chaos that was caused by it.
