I’ve been slowly building out my homelab for a while now, and somewhere along the way the homepage turned into a project of its own.

What started as “I just want some bookmarks for my services” has become the main control panel for basically everything I host at home.

Behind it is a Proxmox-based setup running things like:

• Home Assistant
• Jellyfin + *arr stack
• Frigate
• AdGuard
• Uptime Kuma
• CrowdSec
• Docker services
• Game servers
• Backups / monitoring
• Reverse proxy + Cloudflare
• A bunch of other things I’ve probably forgotten 😅

I wanted the dashboard to give me useful information at a glance instead of just being a wall of service icons, so I’ve been adding status information, resource usage, network stats, media activity, camera information, weather, shortcuts, etc.

A lot of the work was done together with AI because I’m definitely not a frontend developer. I mostly knew what I wanted it to look and behave like and kept iterating until it stopped looking like a generic dashboard.

And yes… at this point I probably spend more time tweaking the dashboard than actually using half the services on it. 😂

I don’t really have many people around me who are into self-hosting, so I figured I’d finally share it here.

Update: public configuration is now available

A sanitized public version of my GexZ LabZ Homepage setup is now available on GitHub:

It includes:

• the Homepage YAML configuration
• the custom CSS and JavaScript
• the Home, Media and Analytics views
• helper collectors for infrastructure and media telemetry
• example systemd services
• environment-variable templates
• installation and configuration documentation

The repository was prepared as a security-first public release. All production credentials, internal addresses, personal identifiers and environment-specific details were removed or replaced with placeholders. The included screenshot is also a sanitized version without live production data.

This is a heavily customized setup built on top of Homepage. Feel free to use it as inspiration, adapt it to your own homelab, or open an issue if something in the documentation is unclear.

This release was prepared with help from AI — which is how “I might publish it someday” turned into a surprisingly speedy release. 😄
