I’m a computer science student and I’ve been working with WordPress for years. And I’m not just talking about using the dashboard. I also work directly with the core PHP code.

I’m working on a project that came from a problem I ran into myself, and I haven’t seen anyone really solve it yet.

The idea is to provide an infrastructure built around the way people who sell and maintain websites actually work. It’s not just another monitoring plugin like WP Umbrella, but a complete, independent platform for managing websites, customers (integrated quote), employees ecc.

How would you go about finding web agency owners who’d be willing to beta-test the software for free? All at my own expense.

Which 7.0 feature are you testing first on client builds, and have you run into any plugin compatibility issues yet?

I’m responsible for a small nonprofit site I inherited with Divi 4. Now it seems time to build the next iteration of this site, and I can’t recommend Divi 5 to the organization — just not convinced it’s worth the purchase price for this site. My labor on the site is donated and I want to streamline … everything. 😉

The required site features include: event listings, registration forms with payment integration, galleries, assorted other forms, responsive menu.

Have read a bit about Divi 5, Bricks, Oxygen, others…

Looking for recommendations for the rebuild. (… even if you’re trying to talk me into Divi 5)

Edit for clarification: the license for Divi 4 (and also Gravity Forms for that matter) were from a previous developer who is in the wind. The org doesn’t have a Divi account, and I’m fairly sure this means they’ll have to purchase Divi 5…

My priorities:

Ease of utilizing custom post types and fields in a smart and not painful way

Able to utilize modern CSS (grid, flex, CSS variables) without it turning into a circus act

Reasonably easy for non-technical editors to create and edit with some instruction

Lightweight, fast, secure, maintained (the usual)

I was exploring our website after uploading a blog, using wordpress--elementor. Then I saw a video on YouTube that I should go to *SETTINGS>Readings* then saved it.

After that all PAGES in the website turned to ARCHIVES, except the homepage I chose.

Someone shared a PDF from the White House website in a Telegram channel. I opened the link and noticed the URL had a very familiar WordPress structure.

That made me curious, so I checked the site and looked through the source code.

And yep — it’s actually WordPress.

I honestly had no idea the official White House website was running on WordPress. I always assumed a site like that would use some completely custom government CMS.

A lot of people look down on WordPress, but if you know how to use it properly, it’s one of the most powerful and widely used CMS platforms out there.

The White House using it is a pretty good reminder that the tool itself isn't the limitation — how you build with it is.

What other major or well-known websites do you know that are built with WordPress?

i have technical blog hosted created on WP. I want to add my python projects there to run and test online on my site how to i do that ? need to install a plugin or any other way just like how we test our code with online interpreter.

Im working on a post in wordpress. Im copying tables from google sheets into wordpress. While editing they look fine but when i go to preview the page or publish it. The tables are all all werid.

I have many columns but they try to fit to the page rather than extend and the columns text wrap

does anyone know how to fix that?

I need a certain post to have a certain ID.

The reason is that my URL is /%post_id%/ and I permanently deleted a certain post that already has links in several important places.

Is there a way to, maybe, create a post and then change its ID across the database so it will be presented with the same URL as the original?

When i want to edit anything at my wordpress website, it just goes blank. Its the same with everything i just try to edit, this is New because last week it was working normally. I tried updating my plugins but it didnt work. I Also tried installing yoast because it said that its needed or something but it didnt work either.
