eilmeldung is a TUI RSS reader based on the news-flash and thereby supports many self-hosted RSS providers (miniflus, FreshRSS, Commafeed, Fever, nextcloud, NewsBlur). It runs on Linux (NixOS/homemanager, Arch AUR, crates.io), Windows (scoop), macOS (homebrew), NetBSD.

eilmeldung is keyboard-oriented, very customizable but comes with sane defaults. Among many things, it features:

• a powerful query language for filtering, searching and bulk operations
• customizable UI (comes with many themes, almost every visual aspect is configurable)
• articles can be piped though external commands (for saving, sending via mail, summarizing by LLMs)
• supports automation of tasks (after syncing, by macros bound to keys, etc.)
