What actually makes you trust a WordPress plugin comparison?
I work in content strategy and spend a lot of time reviewing WordPress plugin comparison content. One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of “best plugin” articles are basically just feature lists rewritten from product pages. That made me wonder what WordPress users actually trust.
A useful comparison should probably include things like:
- real hands-on testing
- actual workflows, not just feature checklists
- clear pros and cons
- pricing and limitations
- what broke or felt annoying during testing
- screenshots or evidence
- a clear explanation of who each plugin is actually best for
So I’m curious: When you read a plugin comparison, what makes you trust it? And on the flip side, what immediately makes you think, “this is just SEO content”?
