Scalelist review - worth trying for building lead lists fast?

We brought in Scalelist for the past couple weeks after seeing it mentioned here. The UI is clean and the filters are pretty thorough - you can drill down by industry, company size, job titles, the usual stuff. Data quality seems decent, maybe 70-80% accuracy on emails from what I've spot checked.

The pricing is where it gets tricky. Their starter plan is like a hundred bucks a month for 1,000 verified emails, which feels steep compared to other lead list building tools. Also noticed their mobile number coverage is pretty limited - only found numbers for maybe 15% of my contacts.

Biggest frustration is the search speed. Running a search with multiple filters can take 30-45 seconds, which adds up when you're building multiple lists. Their Chrome extension is buggy too - crashes half the time on LinkedIn.

We've been looking at UpLead as well but their credits system is confusing and I keep hearing mixed things. Also been eyeing Prospeo which seems to have better mobile coverage from what I've read.

Anyone else using Scalelist for outbound prospecting? How's your experience been? curious what others think about it specifically before I fully commit to switching.

I'm tired of crm providers putting essential features behind paywall!!

Recently I went to an AI conference and got quite a handful of leads ~300. Felt like the right point where I should switch from my excel sheets to actually start considering a CRM now since I will be needing things like email open rates, follow ups, tracking lead with a person in team etc.

Sadly, all the popular CRMs I checked out, had some small but critical feature behind a paywall. I tried hubspot, leadsquared, zoho crm, asana(as a hack) before I gave up. Like even using basic filters and sort feature is paywalled!

Knowing that selecting a CRM is going to be a one time activity, I really don't want to pick a CRM and later realise that some stupid feature requires $10 to unlock.

At this point I’m seriously considering building a simple CRM for myself that just includes all of this without locking random useful features behind higher plans. I strongly believe for small business a proper functional CRM should be free of such bs. If you have less than 1000 leads to manage, happy to onboard you if interested (free of cost ofc).

CRM optimization for Risj Management

For those who work in law firm intake and use Lawmatics/Clio, what have you done to make your intake process faster and more efficient, especially with a small intake team of around two people?
Looking specifically for ways to streamline the workflow, reduce repetitive/manual work, keep the pipeline clean, and make sure leads don’t get missed or sit too long without follow-up.
What Lawmatics automations, workflows, integrations, reports, pipeline setups, or small process changes have made the biggest difference for your team?

CRM recommendations for a small service based business

I am looking for CRM recommendations for a small business (3–4 employees across sales, marketing, and operations/service tickets).

**Sales side:** We have one sales rep and one SDR. The SDR makes a high volume of outbound calls, so we need native calling from within the platform (not a bolt-on), with calls automatically logged against the lead and AI transcription attached. We trialed Close CRM and loved it for exactly this, it's excellent for sales and SDR workflows. Loved how you can see all the emails associated with a lead on the platform. Close is really simple and light-weight.

**Post-sale side (where we're stuck):** Once a deal is won, we issue a service contract tied to a customer location. The contract captures the scope of work, contract type, and the staff assigned to it. These are living documents: staff get swapped out, one-off visits get added, materials/supplies get added. We need a full audit trail of those changes, plus the ability to upload confirmation documents to the record. We also run periodic quality inspections that need to be tracked back to the location.

**Inventory and pricing:** We buy supplies from vendors against a master supply list, and we need visibility into vendor price changes so we can reflect them on customer invoices. Basic CPQ would cover this so nothing elaborate.

All of this lives in Excel today and has become an administrative nightmare. We're officially ready to move it into a CRM, and Close doesn't handle the post-sale side well.

**What else matters:**

- **Configurability** — we need to relabel standard objects and create custom objects (if needed) as we go.

- **Reporting** — should be easy to build with the ability to report on multi-nested objects as needed

- **Document generation** — for contracts and related paperwork.

- **Storage/record limits** — want to be confident we won't hit a ceiling on record counts.

- **Marketing** — we don't run campaigns today, but I'd like the option to grow into it on the same platform.

-**UI** - simple UI and nothing crazy or complex. I also want to be able to configure page layouts with clicks and not code. It should be dummy proof.

I'd strongly prefer a single platform covering sales, ops, and marketing rather than stitching tools together. I don't want to manage integrations at this size.

Would especially appreciate hearing from anyone running a recurring-service business with similar requirements.

Thanks!
