I’ve been reflecting on my current stack and daily routine lately. While I appreciate the stability of my current role, the day-to-day maintenance and incremental improvements mean I'm not always exposed to new paradigms or forced out of my comfort zone.
The landscape moves incredibly fast right now, between the shift toward Platform Engineering, AI-assisted workflows, and new CNCF projects dropping every week, I want to make sure I don't stagnate.
I'd love to hear how you all are keeping your edge and pushing yourselves. Specifically:
Looking forward to hearing what everyone is working on!
So I was manually testing emails forever and finaly found a better way. basically you find one verified email from the company (LinkedIn, press release, whatver) and then you can see their email pattern. like if you find [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), you know everyone else is firstname.lastname@
the annoying part is verifying each email after. i was using hunter for this but started getting too many bounces on thier "valid" emails. tried a few others too - Apollo shows you the company email format which is nice but the data quality has been hit or miss for me. someone on my team mentioned Prospeo does somthing similar, might check that out next
plus my manager keeps asking why our outbound bounce rate is so high and im like bro the email verification tools are lying to us lol
anyone else have tricks for this? especially for companies that use weird formats like first initial + last name or that dreaded firstname.lastname.countrycode@ format
I wanted to use my local AI coding tool to modify pages on a WordPress site, but I couldn't find a way to get the pages exposed to my AI coding tool.
I wrote a tool to download posts and pages to a local file system and push it back up. This gives me AI coding tool full access to modify the content - which is really useful when I want AI to generate full pages or make content modifications across multiple pages.
Does something like this exist already or would anyone find this useful?

Its very important to start with this: This guy is/was an AMAZING designer. Our SaaS looked genuinely amazing and unique; every aspect of UX was always the priority and done flawlessly. It went to a point where emails praising our whole user experience and UI were common. Same goes for anything else related to our branding and marketing; hell he even chimed in on some great company shirts.
---
Its started falling apart a year or two ago, when llms started being "good".
He became obsessed with Claude. Every workflow is now a "Claude project", every design system is now an "AI design system", every decision and every thought is run through an LLM, every api is now an mcp.
When we get on a call, and lets say i ask him a question, he opens Claude on screen share and just asks it the question, fully relying on the result.
Not everything above is inherently bad; if the resulting product is good, workflow can be whatever is easiest. But the product is NO LONGER GOOD. Every single design and component we make these days looks exactly like a vibe-coded website made by a 15yo.
He no longer designs, he just asks claude for a design, and is somehow amazed by it and genuinely thinks its good. So we just ship it to prod. How this is happening for a guy with his experience and feel for design, i have no idea.
We are losing branding; we are regressing each day. There is no style guides (that arent for agents), no unique components, not even brand colors or any deep research that used to go into all that. It just whatever claude spits out and approves, with minimal tweaking.
---
As a closing thought, this is also not a guy who is just "checked out" at work; I can even respect that to a degree. This is someone who still works 8hours+ and is beyond active and collaborates with every team. The only thing that worsened is everything he outputs, and it's all AI generated.
I expect this type of story from people who were never good in the first place, or for people who just stopped caring. But for someone with genuine talent, its heartbreaking.
Just a quick story, no real point to it, nor am I expecting any advice (its not my problem to solve), just wanted to share it.

Hey all, I do Dynamics 365 CRM development and could use a few extra projects. If your team's backlog is piling up or you need a second pair of hands for a sprint or two, I can help.
What I work with:
Happy to jump into an existing codebase, take on a defined ticket batch, or handle a scoped integration piece. Flexible on hours — treat this as overflow capacity, not a full-time ask.
DM me or comment if you want to chat scope/rate.

I bought a web domain that begins www.ratemy....com. I'm told that I need to learn Drupal if I'm going to set it up because it requires people to create an account. I've taught myself softwares here and there, but this seems like it's a whole beast. Should I dive in or is there something easier? (I also need it to be very secure).
Thanks!
For those using WebP on WordPress sites, what are you using to convert your JPEG/PNG images before uploading them to the Media Library? Or are you converting post upload via code or plugin?
On one website there was 1000 jpegs which I used custom code to convert to Webp in batches.
What I want to know, is there an easy way to convert them beforehand?
Any particular desktop apps, websites or batch converters you recommend that keep the quality good while reducing file size?
Just looking for a simple workflow that keeps the site lightweight.
Curious what everyone is using for website images nowadays - JPEG, AVIF or WebP?
When making websites on Wordpress I’ve generally stuck with WebP (converting) because it seems like a good balance between image quality and file size, and I’ve found it helps with PageSpeed compared with standard JPEGs.
Just wondering if AVIF has now become the better option, or whether WebP is still the safer/default choice for WordPress and WooCommerce sites.
Would be good to hear what others are using in practice, especially anyone focused on Core Web Vitals and keeping sites lightweight.

So I want opinions...
I have a client that puts so much stress in my life but he has never been late and never cheapens out, 10+ years.
He has 9 sites, separate from each other.
It was late at night so only the WordPress files were uploaded. He didn't want the MySQL database or installation to occur until the morning...I said whatever...
No messages the next day, 11 days later he comes and wants to continue.
For those 11-12 days later...the files sat there, no installing.
So we went to see the sites and 3 of them had WordPress installed...I went to see the MySQL databases and none existed. I looked in the wp-config.php and the MySQL databases were some external databases on a .de (Germany) site.
He thinks some evil bot attacked his 3 sites and the other 6 are going to be attacked.
So in your opinion, did an evil bot or a human setup WordPress in those 3 sites. Please give a quick reasoning for your answer.
This is the client that calls me at 3 in the morning if there are 3 spam comments, again, evil bots trying to hack his sites and I am sure his microwave. He is somewhere in Europe so 3am is like 8/9/10am for him.
