Thanks for motivating my brother to make the right decision. I have been trying to get him to do this for 3 years. I hope all of your pillows are cold on both sides. Cheers!

ETA: u/underqualified_punk is his username. His comment won’t post. He says thank you for all the love.

I got a surprise baldening party for my 30th birthday

About 1.5 years ago, I said that when I'd turn 30, I'd shave what little hair I still had.

To make sure I'd go through with it, I told as many people as possible.

So I should've seen it coming when I went to my parent's house to get it over with, that there'd be a surprise party for my baldening!

One thing I didn't expect is that it now always feels like I'm sweating, because I'm not used to feel cold from the sides of my head 😅

It is done.

It is done.

Someone took a picture of the back of my head at Pokemon GO Fest in June and I noticed a weird bald spot. I didn't think anything of it, but over the past few months it just got worse and worse. It became a huge point of stress and confusion (which I know wasn't helping anything) and I was in denial because I've been trying to grow my hair out again.

Not sure what pushed me over the edge this evening, but I grabbed my clippers and closed my eyes.

Et voilà!

I'm still planning a trip to the derm because I'd like to know the root cause, but this'll hopefully take the edge off until then.

Tell me I made the right choice

Tell me I made the right choice

Let hair grow for 11 years and started thinning as soon it got to where I wanted it. Bald at 29, yay.

Quick edit: Thank yall for all the positive messages. It really does mean a whole lot.

One more quick edit: While I appreciate the intent in trying to show what more I could do, please stop sending my pictures through AI.
