Bricks vs Elementor - Is It Worth Switching After 3 Years?
I've been building WooCommerce stores professionally with Elementor Pro for almost 3 years, and I'm currently considering switching to Bricks Builder.
My main goal is to deliver premium WooCommerce stores with a smooth, Shopify-like shopping experience, clean code, and excellent performance.
I'm very comfortable with Elementor and can build high-quality stores relatively quickly. However, I'm concerned about the heavier code Elementor V3 generates and whether it's still the right choice for long-term projects.
Recently, I purchased Bricks and started building my first WooCommerce stores with it, mostly using AI tools like Cursor and Bricks MCP.
So far, I've noticed a few things:
- Bricks seems to offer cleaner code and more flexibility.
- The learning curve is significant, especially after years of using Elementor.
- Achieving the same design quality takes me considerably longer in Bricks.
- When browsing the finished websites, I honestly don't notice a dramatic difference in speed compared to my optimized Elementor stores.
I'm starting to question whether switching builders is actually worth the time investment.
For developers who've worked extensively with both:
Is Bricks genuinely worth switching to for WooCommerce development in 2026?
Have you noticed meaningful improvements in real-world performance, maintainability, or the overall shopping experience?
Or can a well-optimized Elementor store deliver essentially the same results?
I'd especially appreciate opinions from developers building premium WooCommerce stores for clients, rather than simple brochure websites.
