What WordPress Developers Are Actually Paid in 2026 ($40k–$150k)

10 March 2026 at 03:20

I run a small WordPress job board and recently went through a large number of WordPress job listings to see what developers are actually paid.

The salary range is much wider than many people expect.

Junior roles start around $40k–$60k
Mid-level roles are usually $70k–$100k
Senior roles can reach $120k–$150k

I summarized the findings along with the skills that appear most often in higher-paying jobs.

Curious if this matches what others here are seeing in the WordPress job market.

Anyone know any themes similar to this squarespace website on Word Press?

10 March 2026 at 01:47

I'm really new to website building and I really like how this website looks. I was wondering if anyone knew a theme that looks like this website:
www.backyardtentrental.com

Its for event rentals and I'm struggling to find something like it.

Anyone else find CF7 to CRM integrations unnecessarily painful? Curious how others are solving this

10 March 2026 at 00:00

Been working with WordPress and Contact Form 7 for a while now and one thing that keeps coming up across different client projects is how overcomplicated the CF7 to CRM connection gets.

The typical flow most people end up with is CF7 fires a webhook, that hits Zapier, Zapier calls HubSpot or Zoho or whatever the client is using. It works but you are now paying monthly forever just to be a middleman between two things that could theoretically talk directly to each other. And the moment a task limit gets hit or something in the chain breaks, the client has zero visibility into what went wrong.

I went down a rabbit hole trying to find a cleaner way to handle this and eventually found something that connects CF7 directly to any REST API from inside WordPress itself. No third party relay, no extra monthly cost on top of everything else, and you can actually see the API response logs right inside the dashboard which has saved me a lot of debugging time.

Have used it across several client projects now connecting to different CRMs and it has honestly simplified things more than I expected.

Curious what approach others here are taking for this. Is Zapier still the default for most of you or have you moved to something different?

How are you bloggers handling Pinterest? Is manual pinning still the norm

9 March 2026 at 23:49

I've been talking to a few bloggers and noticed that converting blog posts into Pinterest-ready pins is still mostly manual β€” resize, rewrite captions, pick boards, schedule. Is that your experience too? What tools are you using, if any? Genuinely curious what the workflow looks like for people actually doing this.

Status of HP-Themes ??

9 March 2026 at 22:07

I have sent three support inquiries for their Highend Theme in as many weeks. I receive an automated messages saying "We’ve received your support ticket and we are already on the case. Expect to hear from us within 48 hours". No other response. Nothing. I have a valid support license. Very disappointing. Has any one else had this experience?

Responsive Menu plugins for mobile never show up right

9 March 2026 at 21:27

I’m struggling to get a responsive menu working for our website in mobile. The last responsive menu we had from the previous marketing company worked up until an update in Wordpress and it never worked again. Now when I put in a new responsive menu plugin everything seems like it will work and then when you look on mobile it looks like code is broken on our website and lists EVERYTHING out as bulleted points. I ended up taking it down because although it gives people the ability to see all these other pages, it doesn’t make the website look nice. I’ve tried every compatible responsive menu and incompatible to the newest Wordpress update and they always end up like this. Please help me unravel this mystery

Having issues with new ACF fields not showing up

9 March 2026 at 21:18

I’m no expert at Wordpress and coding (yet), however I’m doing what I can to teach myself these things as I go along. Expert advice is greatly appreciated here.

The company I work for had a marketing company prior to me coming in and being the in house marketing person. The previous company had set their own theme for the website. Since they were let go, we’ve been using that theme. The homepage is created mainly through ACF field groups. Every time I go to add a field and save, it won’t show up on the published end. I’ve read that it can be from the previous company and then this forum went into coding into the theme - which I did and crashed the website immediately (thank god for backups). I’m at a loss at this point and need help please

New site has a header that I cant remove or edit?

9 March 2026 at 16:05

What the website looks like to visitors

The white header in the photo above does not appear in my editor. Its a sticky header, which is what I want the black one to be, but I cannot set the black header to sticky either. The photo below is what I see in the editor. I cannot select where it says home, it doesn't recognize it as a block, double clicking doesn't do anything either. This site editor has given me quite the headache, any help is greatly appreciated.

Stuck on Elementor Loading Editor Screen

9 March 2026 at 15:09

I've been stuck on the loading editor for my home page all day..I can edit & add new pages just fine, and the editor loads quickly, but never does for the home page.

I've tried:

  • Clearing browser & WP cache
  • Logging In/Out
  • Enabling Safe mode
  • Uninstalling plugins & reinstalling (testing between each step)
  • Enabled/Disabled Switch Editor Loader Method

Any further advice would be much appreciated.

website mess with WP

9 March 2026 at 14:53

I recently have been tasked with revamping my job's website, it was created with WP. But it seems that most plug-ins are old, slow, no longer working the way they should be & are unable to be updated, it seems we have to pay for the latest versions of each thing "WPBakery, Theme, Slider Revolution, etc" which I really don't want to do. Is there any recommendations on how to work this? It seems super complicated to me but I am try to to find a way to get this done without messing up the website or cause any errors. Does anyone have any experience and/or recommendations on where to begin?

I have a WPengine login, if that means anything. I am unsure if that helps.

I have experience with square space, but WP seems like a completely different ball game. Please help!

How do you guys track plugin license expirations before they break client sites?

9 March 2026 at 13:19

I’ve seen it happen too many times: a client is in the middle of a big launch, and suddenly a critical plugin (like a form builder or checkout add-on) stops working because the license expired. It’s a nightmare for the client and a huge churn risk for the agency.

I’ve been working on a more proactive way to handle this using MainWP and a few internal processes, and I wanted to share what’s working for us to avoid those midnight emergency calls:

  • The 30-Day Rule: We now set alerts to trigger 30 days before any key expires. Most plugins give you a grace period, but some just stop dead. 30 days gives us time to bill the client or update the card on file.
  • The Onboarding Audit: Every new site gets a full license scan. We document who owns the license (us or the client) and when it expires. We don't trust the client's 'it's all set up' word anymore.
  • Centralized Logging: We use the MainWP Pro Reports to show clients that we are actually keeping their software valid. It turns 'hidden' work into visible value.
  • Mission Critical Tags: We tag plugins that would 'break the site' versus those that are just 'nice to have.' If a SEO plugin expires, it sucks. If the payment gateway expires, it’s a fire. We prioritize accordingly.

How are you guys handling this at scale? Do you keep all licenses under your agency account, or do you make the clients buy their own? I’ve found that owning the licenses myself makes the 'maintenance' package an easier sell, but it adds more admin overhead.

I dont know what theme and plugins to use honestly.. more below

9 March 2026 at 12:31

[I'm a newbie in wordpress so.. i'm a comic artist, writer, designer. i use toocheke plugin for comic organizing and my memberships plugin. i also have yoast duplicate plugin.

i'm not sure of other plugins i should choose though.. any recommendations?]

\

soon, i plan to have another site for ecommerce mainly.

i'm trying to find a lightweight theme and plugin for it.

So I tried blocksy theme and blocksy plugin and stackable, went to kadence theme and kadence blocks. but i read somewhere that blocksy theme and plugin has some issues for other users that when u update them, it goes weird?

and kadence was said to have some issues or vulnerability.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/1gjr5qp/comment/lvfqd7j/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

sorry i cant find blocksy's issues but i remember reading this blog where when users update the theme and plugin, it goes haywire.

any recommendations so far?

(Is it ok to just use a theme and then no plugins,, like the kadenceblocks or stackable? i'm hearing about gutenberg though, is that the default wordpress "blocks" editing thingy?)

Some WC widgets are missing in the elementor editor

9 March 2026 at 12:20

Hey everyone,

I’m editing an old website that was built with WordPress, Elementor, WooCommerce, LearnDash and the Pojo theme. I switched the theme to Hello Elementor and started updating parts of the site.

For some reason, some Elementor WooCommerce widgets are not showing up in the editor, specifically:

  • Cart
  • Checkout
  • My Account

Things I already tried:

  • Disabled all plugins except Elementor, Elementor Pro and WooCommerce
  • Deleted and reinstalled Elementor and Elementor Pro
  • Regenerated CSS & Data
  • Cleared cache
  • Confirmed Elementor Pro license is active

None of this helped - the widgets simply don’t appear in the Elementor panel at all.

Has anyone run into this before or knows what could cause it? Any ideas would be appreciated πŸ™

anyone here has a tutorial on how commonly are wordpress website and e-commerce created and programmed?

9 March 2026 at 11:37

i mean im learning how to use wordpress but there are thousands ways to create a wordpress website/e-commerce, im practicing php and i already know javascript, i would like to see a full creation process of a website using wordpress with gutemberg, what to do if I want to hardcode something, security, seo etc etc...

I'm trying to become a wordpress developer, so i will avoid the uses of plugins during the creation of a website

i know that i could find millions of videos about these procesess but which of these videos are the correct or the currently method to create it? for example i choose gutemberg because i know right now gutemberg is the most used, elementor has sometimes performance and positioning issues if you want to do SEO, for me seo is important

thanks in advance

Caching pages through a service worker

9 March 2026 at 11:21

I'm making a site meant to be used as a PWA and added a service worker to it for offline functionality. I can cache scripts and stylesheets with this method but not the functions.php file (I'm not even sure if doing such a thing is good practice so tips on that are welcome too). I don't even know where to start caching the pages themselves since they are not individual files. I'm confused with how little information I can find on this since the ability to turn a WP site into an app seems to be fully supported. I'm trying to use as few plugins as possible. Any help would be appreciated.

Legal Services Management

9 March 2026 at 10:43

I built a WordPress plugin for law firms to manage cases and clients

Many small law firms use WordPress for their website but still rely on spreadsheets or separate tools to manage cases and client information.

So I built a plugin called Legal Services Management that lets law firms manage:

β€’ Clients
β€’ Legal cases
β€’ Appointments
β€’ Legal services

All directly inside the WordPress dashboard.

It’s especially useful for solo lawyers or small firms that want something simple without paying for expensive legal software.

I’d love feedback from anyone building websites for law firms or working in legal tech.
