I built a CRM specifically for relationships that start on Reddit

I’ve been using Reddit for customer acquisition, feedback, and talking to founders for a while, and one problem kept coming up:

Reddit is great for starting conversations, but terrible for remembering and organizing all the people behind them.

You talk to someone today, they comment again next week, you DM them later, and eventually you have dozens of usernames with no idea who was who or what you talked about.

I used to manage all of this in spreadsheets.

So I built Bantico, basically a CRM around Reddit relationships.

It helps you:

  • Find potential customers already talking about problems your product solves, asking for recommendations, or looking for alternatives.
  • Keep people and conversation context together, so you know who someone is, what you’ve talked about, and why they might matter.
  • Organize potential customers and relationships instead of keeping Reddit usernames scattered across spreadsheets.
  • Track your interaction history so you can see previous conversations and know where you left off.
  • Use Watchlists for people who look interesting but aren’t ready right now, so you can keep track of them instead of forgetting them.
  • Know who to follow up with as relationships develop over time.
  • Keep beta testers, potential customers, community members, feedback conversations, and eventually paying customers in one place.

The basic idea is that a Reddit post or comment might be the first interaction, but the person behind it can turn into a much longer relationship.

So instead of treating every Reddit conversation as an isolated interaction, Bantico helps you build context around the person over time.

Would love to know if anyone here is currently using a traditional CRM for Reddit-sourced relationships, or if you’re still handling this manually with notes/spreadsheets.

I’m about to launch a relationship-focused CRM for Reddit. What would you actually want it to do?

I’ve been building a CRM focused specifically on the people and conversations you come across on Reddit.

I’m getting pretty close to launching it. Right now I’m mainly fixing bugs, cleaning things up, and making sure the core workflows are actually useful.

At the moment, the platform can:

  • Discover relevant Reddit conversations based on what you sell or the kinds of problems your potential customers are talking about
  • Save those searches and surface new relevant public posts when they appear
  • Explain why a post may be relevant instead of just throwing keyword matches at you
  • Let you decide yourself whether a post is actually worth engaging with
  • Show whether you’ve already interacted with that person before
  • Keep previous conversations and interaction history connected to that person
  • Turn someone into a saved relationship when you actually want to keep track of them
  • Automatically summarize conversations and pull out useful context
  • Organize people into custom lists
  • Track selected people with watchlists and see when they post something new
  • Add tasks and follow-ups
  • See who you’ve spoken to, what you talked about, when you last interacted, and what the next step is
  • Keep opportunities → conversations → relationships → follow-ups in one place

One thing I want to make very clear:

The platform does not automatically DM people, auto-comment, or send AI-generated outreach.

For example, say you sell a CRM for social media and want to know when someone posts that they’re looking for a tool like that.

You could save that search, and when a relevant public post appears, the platform surfaces it.

You then decide whether it’s actually relevant, whether you want to reply, and what you want to say.

I personally don’t want to build another tool that turns Reddit into an AI-slop mass-outreach channel.

The bigger idea is to help you find relevant conversations, know whether you’ve interacted with someone before, remember the context, and keep track of the people you actually want to build a relationship with.

Before I launch, I’d really like feedback from people who use Reddit for business, sales, freelancing, community building, research, etc.

What would you actually want a Reddit CRM like this to do?

Is there something you currently do manually on Reddit that you wish a tool handled for you?

And looking at the features above, is there anything I’m missing or anything you think is completely unnecessary?

I’m still early enough that the feedback here can genuinely change what I build next.

Would you combine prospecting and CRM in one platform?

For people who actively use a CRM for outbound sales, do you prefer keeping prospecting, enrichment, outreach, and CRM as separate tools, or would you rather manage more of the workflow in one place?

For example, would it be useful to define your ICP and receive a smaller list of already-researched and qualified companies, including the right decision-makers, enrichment data, why they match, and why they may be worth contacting?

Only approved leads or positive replies would then be added to the actual CRM, rather than filling it with every prospect.

Would that make your workflow easier, or do you prefer using tools such as Sales Navigator, Clay, Apollo, outreach software, and your CRM separately?

What would a combined platform need to do before you would consider using it instead of your current setup?

Thanks for any constructive feedback!

Is anyone here using a CRM built specifically for managing customer relationships across social platforms?

I think most CRMs seem to be built around email, calls, forms, and meetings.

But many customer relationships now start and continue through platforms like Reddit, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, or X.

Is anyone here using a CRM specifically designed to manage those relationships across social platforms?

I mean something that helps you keep track of:

  • who you have spoken with
  • where the conversation happened
  • the full interaction history
  • notes and important context
  • follow-ups and reminders
  • whether the person is a prospect, customer, partner, or someone else

I’m currently working on something in this space and would love honest feedback from people who already manage customer or prospect relationships through social media.

How are you handling this today, and what features would you expect from a platform like that?

How are companies tracking customer conversations happening on Reddit?

For companies that use Reddit for customer support, community management, or customer acquisition, how do you keep track of conversations across posts, comments, and DMs?

Someone might report a bug, mention your brand, compare you with a competitor, ask for advice related to your industry, or show interest in your product but need a follow-up later.

Are you adding these conversations to your existing CRM, using a social-listening tool, working from spreadsheets, or simply managing everything through Reddit?

I’m currently working on something in this space and would genuinely appreciate honest feedback from people who already use Reddit as a customer support, community, or customer acquisition channel.

What is the most frustrating part of your current process, and what features would you want to see in a platform built for managing these conversations?
