Great news: Contrib Kanban is back thanks to Matt Glaman.

As a result you can get an overview of every issue with a given tag again. For example, everything that is tagged with "rosetta" from the DrupalCon Rotterdam DriesNote.

I liked the idea, but the project could use some visual polish and a dash of fun!

So here it is: an improved UI and an issue roulette.

Spin it, take the issue that stops under the marker, and get to work. You get three re-rolls.

What do you think and what needs to be improved?

Some stuff is still in a Github PR but here are the links.

A demo on the work that I've been doing on exposed slots in Drupal Canvas.

This is still a proof of concept, we are not there yet.

I hope this demo gets people as excited as I am about this feature.

I think this one is very important to drive Canvas adaption.

Let me know what you think!

MR: https://git.drupalcode.org/project/canvas/-/merge_requests/1359

The tools that I used to depend on to read out metatags and social previews all got cluttered with noise, got uglyfied or were bombarded with ads.

Darn it!

So I made my own tool that I like to share after the success of the previous tool (The Drupal SEO tool).

Paste a URL and it will preview all links and read out the metatags and show them on the bottom.

The tool also does suggestions on improvements where possible.

No clutter, no noise, no ads.

I kept running into the same thing on Drupal sites:

the SEO basics (metatags, structured data, sitemap, clean URLs) were half-finished, and the generic online SEO checkers don't know anything about Drupal, so their advice is only half the solution.

So I built a small free tool that scans any URL and, if it detects Drupal, adds Drupal-specific checks on top of the usual technical and content ones.

Drupal SEO test

It gives you a score per category and a plain-language list of what to fix.

It's free, no sign-up!

Works on any site, but it's sharpest on Drupal.

Let me know your score!

Proud to finally say it and honestly, I feel like shouting it from the rooftops:

Webhaven now fully supports Drupal Canvas, and the new demo is now live.

This demo showcases everything that ships with Webhaven and documents all the Drupal Canvas layouts, components, sections, and atoms included out of the box.

Take a look and let me know what you think!

I'm currently building Webhaven, a better way to build with Drupal.

In the video you can see the "empty state" when setting up a new Drupal project with Webhaven.

I'm curious if everything is clear and if you miss something? All feedback is welcome!

I'm currently working hard on getting Drupal Canvas in, feels like I'm almost there. Really excited with how good Canvas works and the editor experience.

Learn how to set up a basic deployment script to deploy your Drupal 11 website from Gitlab to your server.

https://fonsvandamme.com/insights/deploy-your-drupal-website-gitlab

This is a basic way to deploy your Drupal 11 website, it has always worked for me and I like to keep things simple.

I'm aware that there are more complex methods that don't run composer install on your server. I do like to learn so please share your gitlab-ci.yml file and deploy script if you can improve on this flow to make it more robust.

I often get asked where I host my Drupal websites.

When it comes to hosting, Hetzner is my partner of choice.

I've made a post on how I setup Drupal 11 projects on Hetzner.

If people are interested in this matter (let me know) I'll show you how you can Deploy from Gitlab directly to your server in a next post.
